Server Rules!

General Rules:

1. No begging/spam trading other players (spam trading is defined as requesting a trade with players that have no intention of trading you). No player may open a trade or party request with a GM ( GM's must open the window first). Do not beg for weapons, armor, or any other items from a GM staff member or player. This is not allowed and you will be given jail time or a temp ban.

2. No disrespecting GM staff. These people provide a free service to L2Destination and are not be abused by players at any time. Disrespecting the GM staff does include impersonating a GM, expressing a negative opinion about a GM/Admin or their event, or on these forums as well.

3. No pets in town. This includes all pets, collar and summon types but does not include cubics. This is due to it causing graphics and network lag issues.

4. Do not give anyone your Account Information. Staff members do not need this and while they may ask for your login name they will NEVER ask for your password. You are responsible for all actions on your accounts. If you give out this information to anyone then you are responsible for what they do. So do not share your accounts with anyone, not ever.

5. Restricted Weapons - No mortal player may possess a item enchanted above +25. You are also not allowed to use any of the cursed weapons on your own clan or ally mate with the intention to level the weapon and strengthen your power. You also cannot use the cursed weapons on Raid Bosses.

6. Ban, Jail, and other punishments - All punishments are to be discussed with the staff member who gave you the punishment IN PRIVATE. It is not discussed in chat, it is not discussed in public forum posts or threads, and it is not discussed in a public vent channel. Doing so will open you up to further punishments as well as the full details of your offense being made public. Public release is limited to the type of offense, what punishment was given, and who gave the punishment. If you are unaware of who gave the punishment then you can submit an ingame petition if not banned or a forum PM to a staff member in all cases. You can also contact a gm on vent to speak with the staff member who set your punishment.

7. Logging into the server on another account while banned will result in an IP ban. If you wish to discuss the ban, you must do so from out of game.

8. Newbie hunting by vets is forbidden and Lowbie hunting by vets is strongly discouraged. A lowbie is considered any character who is 20 or more levels below your character. A newbie is any character who is below level 15 and your character is above level 30. Incidents involving characters below level 15 killed by players above level 65 may be severely punished. Incidents involving a veteran player using a newbie character to intentionally get another player in trouble will result in severe punishments which may include extended jail time, loss of character and/or accounts, temp ban, or perma IP ban.

9. Multi-boxing is allowed in all situation except for pvp and/or events.

Exploitation and Cheating Rules:

1. Wall Shooting - Intentional attacking through walls, floors and solid objects is exploiting. This information is recorded and if reported it will be checked. Guilty players may suffer jail time, loss of character, or a ban.

2. False Reporting - Intentional false reporting of other players such as false wall shooting reports or use of client mods or external programs may result in loss of character, loss of account, temp ban, or even a perma ban.

3. Exploiting Bugs - Intentional exploitation of a known or obvious bug to gain an unfair advantage over one or more players may be punished by loss of character, loss of account, temp ban, or perma ban. Report these immediately so they can be fixed and do not use the bug until the bug is fixed. Players found to have exploited intentionally and then reported it are still guilty and may still be punished.

4. Hacking the server - Attempting to hack the server, be it game, database, or active server machine is a criminal action. This data is all logged and when a person is found to do this they will not only be perma IP banned but the evidence will be turned over to the authorities. Just because you live in another country does not mean you can escape punishment. Play fair or you will not play here at all.

5. Scamming - while you are responsible for anything you freely give to other players, scamming is highly frowned upon. Scamming performed through posing as a member of the staff or through offerings of exploiting or cheating will be punished harshly. This may include temp bans and perma IP bans. Players found creating character names which mislead other players into believing they are a member of the staff will face these same punishments.

6. Clan Homes - Clanhalls are the private home of player clans. As such these are off limits for pvp or access without an invitation of the owning clan. This also applies to Castles and Contestable Clanhalls when not actively in a siege period. Exploitation of geodata issues is also included in this. Further, logging out inside siege grounds to gain access to those siege grounds during a siege is considered an exploit and faces the same punishments for exploiting. When this involves a significant number of players from a single clan, the punishment may be extended to the entire clan and/or the clan leader.

7. Third Party Programs - the use of third party programs (ie L2Walker) and client modifications is forbidden at L2Destination. Any player found using any of these will be perma banned.

Event Rules:

1. Events GM's assign rules on a per event basis. So be sure to pay attention to the rules in game per event. Assume no PvP is allowed at an event unless otherwise stated by GM holding the event.

2. No Farming War Kills for Glittering Medals This kind of behavior is not allowed and will lead to the medals being removed from War Kills all together. They were added as an extra fun bonus not for something to be exploited.

Chat Rules:

1. SHOUT - The Shout channel is for ENGLISH only. The server is based in a English speaking country and as such that is the primary language of the server. Failure to obey this rule may result in a chat ban, jail time, or temp ban.

2. TRADE - The Trade channel is reserved for NON-ENGLISH. We understand that many of our players live in non-English speaking countries and have provided use of the Trade channel for them. English speaking players are warned not to abuse the Trade channel, you have the Shout channel already.

3. SPAMMING - Do not spam the chat channels. Four (4) lines is the max for advertising, no more than one set of four lines every three to five (3 -5) minutes. Abuse of this may result in a chat ban, jail time, or a temp ban. Spamming a chat channel for any other purpose is also a violation of the rules and may result in these same punishments.

4. PETITIONS - Petitions are primarily in English, although some support in other languages may be available at times.

5. GM Chat - All private contact with a member of the GM staff is done through the Petition system. Do not ask a gm to pm you. Failure to obey this rule may result in your being ignored, chat banned, or jailed.

6. CHAT MONITORING - ALL chats may be monitored by the GM staff. While we do not normally monitor private conversations, please understand that it is possible and when required will be done. All chats are logged and reviewed on a regular basis. The server also monitors chat for specific types of violations and as such you may be flagged by the server as well.

7. PERSONAL INFORMATION - Do not give this out. If you are a minor (Under the age of 18) and a person asks for your personal information such as where you live or for real life meetings, you should inform the staff immediatly.

8. Donor and non-donor bashing is forbidden. Equal protection under this rule is provided. This also extends to any real life issue. Leave issues over real life topics out of the game, including all real life discrimination. Find in-game methods for baiting the enemy, etc. Punishment may include chat bans, jail time, temp bans, loss of characters and/or accounts, perma bans. This extends to clan crests, titles, and all other ingame features.

9. Server advertising and recruiting is forbidden. No player may advertise or recruit for any other server through any chat, vent, or forum system of any L2Destination server. Anyone caught doing this may be temp banned or perma IP banned.
